What to Expect at Principled Chiropractic

Whatever your experiences have been when visiting a healthcare provider, we at Principled Chiropractic are committed to exceeding your expectations while providing exceptional care. – Dr. Biggs

About You:

When you arrive for your first visit, you will be greeted by our friendly staff and a clean welcoming environment.  You will be given basic intake forms to complete which are also available on this site a can be submitted electronically to save you time on your visit. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information so we can provide you with the best care possible.

Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Biggs to discuss your health-related concerns, and expectations from our office. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Biggs to learn more about you and your expectations, and to determine how chiropractic care can help you achieve your health goals.

After your consultation, Dr. Biggs will perform a complete chiropractic and postural analysis to determine if there is evidence of vertebral subluxation (spinal misalignments that disturb normal nerve function) and gather all information needed to determine how our office can help you.

Insight Millennium Scans:

This technology provides objective data and gives Dr. Biggs the most comprehensive look at how the master control system in your body (nervous system) is functioning. The Insight has been used in NASA’s space program and has been certified by the Space Foundation. Not only is Dr. Biggs able to determine if he can help you, with this technology he is able to accurately measure your progress along the way. This is the most important scan you will ever receive in our office.

Digital X-rays:

If vertebral subluxation is suspected, an X-ray study will be performed. X-rays give Dr. Biggs an idea of how long vertebral subluxation has been there and information about the general condition of your spine. We utilize PostureRay, cutting edge x-ray analysis software, to collect precise and accurate information about your spine to enable exceptional results.

Report of Findings:

Once the information is collected and all required information is gathered, you will be scheduled for your report of findings. During this visit Dr. Biggs will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:

How can you help me?

How long will this take?

How often should I come in?

How much will my investment be?

After reviewing your health history, goals, and analyzing your computerized nerve scans and X-rays, Dr. Biggs will discuss recommendations. If chiropractic is the best option for you and you decide to start care, you will receive your first adjustment at the conclusion of this report.

Subluxation is the culprit…

In simple terms, a subluxation is when one or more of the bones of your spine, known as vertebrae, move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate the spinal nerves. Spinal nerves are the nerves that come out from between each of the vertebrae in your spine. This irritation of the nerves then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves.

How does this affect you?  Your nervous system controls and coordinates all the functions of your body. If you interfere with the signals traveling over nerves, parts of your body will not get the proper nerve messages and will not be able to function at 100% of their innate abilities. In other words, some part of your body will not be working properly. While this may produce symptoms like back and neck pain, it more commonly remains silent for years while its destruction grows. It is the responsibility of the Doctor of Chiropractic to locate subluxations, and reduce or correct them. This is done through a series of chiropractic adjustments specifically designed to correct the vertebral subluxations in your spine. Chiropractors are the only professionals who undergo years of training to be the experts at correcting subluxations.

“Dr. Biggs changed everything.”

“I recently started chiropractic visits with Dr. Drew Biggs because of hip pain caused by a bulging disc. It wasn’t until I met him that I completely understood what chiropractic does and why it is so important. It is not about only about helping with pain but about keeping a healthy functioning system. I now visit regularly and I feel great. I’m now working on the whole package including diet and exercise with Dr. Biggs’ advice. . AMAZING!” Holly Cosentino
