Who We Help at Principled Chiropractic
– Dr. Biggs
Regardless of age or ability, our commitment at Principled Chiropractic is to exceed expectations and empower each practice member to take control of their health and reach their upmost potential.
Chiropractic adjustments are usually very gentle and commonly relieve pain. Occasionally, an area being adjusted is very sore and inflamed in which case the mere pressure on that area can be uncomfortable. It is the adjustment that helps the body to heal and become comfortable again.
The joints of the spine are surrounded by a ligament capsule that is filled with a lubricating, nutrient-rich fluid, just like the joints of the fingers. When the two bones that make up the joint are moved into a different position, a bubble of CO2 is pulled out of solution from the liquid and pops. This harmless event is what produces the audible noise during an adjustment.
As soon as the corrective adjustment is made and body balance is restored, muscles begin to relax, blood and oxygen circulation is increased, healing messages are transmitted from the brain to the affected area and the body’s self healing process begins.
Your schedule of care is based on the magnitude and severity of your subluxation and your body’s response to the adjustment. Each person is different and each individual’s healing response is different. We give each practice member an estimate on how long their recovery may take after the initial exam and will have an even better idea after 2 – 3 visits.
This is a common misconception which is not true. It is recommended to complete the care plan that is designed to meet your health goals, despite the fact that many people are symptom-free before correction is complete.
Some people choose to continue with chiropractic care as a lifestyle choice much in the way that they continue to exercise, eat healthy, and brush their teeth. They know that the health of their body as a whole is tied to the health of their spine and nervous system and choose to maintain it.
Absolutely not. In fact, chiropractic care, in its essence, is not a treatment for any specific condition. It is a method of improving the health and function of your spine and nervous system by removing interferences to this area known as subluxations.
Many conditions result from a poorly functioning nervous system. If this is the cause of your problem, then only chiropractic can address the root cause and allow your body to heal is it should. Below are some conditions that have been traced back to subluxations.

“Dr. Biggs changed everything.”
“I recently started chiropractic visits with Dr. Drew Biggs because of hip pain caused by a bulging disc. It wasn’t until I met him that I completely understood what chiropractic does and why it is so important. It is not about only about helping with pain but about keeping a healthy functioning system. I now visit regularly and I feel great. I’m now working on the whole package including diet and exercise with Dr. Biggs’ advice. . AMAZING!” Holly Cosentino
